Process of Trademark Registration
2 Working Hours
Trademark search will run first to check whether your unique name or logo or one sounding very similar to it has already been taken or not. After getting confirmed payment must made for the entire process. An authorisation letter will be send to you, which you must sign and return to us, so that your trademark application can be filed by our expert.
3 Working Days
The basic details about you (or your business, in case the trademark is being registered in its name), and the logo, word, slogan you're registering has to be filed. In the JPEG format only pictures must be sent. It must be registered for a particular sector. , We need to file multiple Form-1s if you want to register a trademark in multiple categories and you would have to pay for them separately. You can start using the ™ symbol,as soon as the form is filed.
24 Months
Your application will be first check by the trade marks office to see as if it's already been taken or not. Trademark objection will be raised, if it has. Also if govt finds the logo obscene, hurts religious sentiments or believes that it is likely to cause confusion, the government may object. It makes an advertisement in the Trade Marks Journal, if it has no objection. Your trademark is registered around six months later, if there is no opposition from other businesses in the next four months. Over the entire 18 months we will check the status of your application regularly and keep you up-to-date on the status.
